Jailbreak

JAILBREAK

The original Solitary Sixty challenge!

The most similar task to a regular escape room, challengers become inmates before the game has even started. The challenge? To break out of jail, of course!

Inmates are not just locked inside the cell, they are also chained at the wrists and ankles.

By solving the puzzles within, they must first free themselves from the chains before removing the padlocks on the door, too.

But the guard is only away for sixty minutes - if the inmate is still inside the cell when he returns, the main cell door will lock and the challenge is failed...

DOING TIME

Judge the passing time to avoid a double sentence!

As with JAILBREAK, challengers become arrested inmates immediately. They are locked in the cell for exactly 60 minutes with nothing but a big orange button on the back of the door.

If the inmate can press the button every 10 minutes, they will be set free at the end of their hour sentence.

The catch? They have no idea how much time is passing! They must guess 3 periods of 10 minutes within 30 seconds and can have up to 5 attempts.

If they fail, the sentence is doubled and another hour behind bars is the penalty they must pay!

Quiz Prison

QUIZ PRISON

General knowledge is the key to escaping!

Challengers step into the cell freely, but must exit within one hour to avoid arrest and further imprisonment!

To escape, the challenger must work out the correct answers to the quiz questions displayed throughout the hour on a screen outside their cell.

The answers are numbers and will form combinations to release keys suspended in the cell. These keys remove the padlocks on the door. Remove all 4 to win freedom.

Fail, and the challenger is immediately arrested and processed for a punishing additional hour as a new inmate!

ONE MINUTE LIMIT

60 seconds to escape - or 60 minutes to serve...

As with Quiz Prison, challengers step inside the cell as civilians and must remove the 4 locks on the door to succeed.

However, with this challenge they have only a single minute to escape!

The challenge could be memory, logic or skill based but failure is met with instant punishment. The door cell door is locked and the challenger becomes an inmate instantly - their sixty minutes of solitary confinement beginning right there and then!

Beat the Buzzer

BEAT THE BUZZER

Inmates stand to lose more than an hour of freedom in this brutal challenge...

Arrested and secured in handcuffs and leg irons before being locked in the cell, there's no going back once this challenge begins!

Three attempts to repeat back the sequences of flashing tiles on the touchscreen without making a mistake.  To win, the inmate must reach and complete a sequence of 10.

Make a mistake, the buzzer will sound and the inmate must start again. Sound the buzzer three times and it's GAME OVER.

Failing inmates will be locked in the pillory to meet the buzzer - their hair will be shaved off to give them a proper prisoner buzzcut before they serve their punishment hour in the cell!

STRAIT-ESCAPE

Make like Houdini and get out before the door locks!

Challengers are put into the straitjacket at the beginning of the hour.

Positioned inside the cell, their ankles are chained down with the key to release them dangling just behind their head.

Their sixty minute sentence then begins with a brief window of escape...

Get out of the straitjacket and release the locks around the feet within the first two-and-a-half minutes... or the straitjacket will be chained by the collar to the top of the cell and the door will be locked, preventing any chance of an early exit!

Lock Up the Loser

LOCK UP THE LOSER

Two challengers do battle to send their opponent to solitary!

Each player is locked in leg irons ready for the battle.

They take turns to catch the randomly released falling batons. The speed increases over the three rounds - whoever drops the most is the loser!

Our loser is arrested and changes into a prisoner uniform. They will then face an hour-long sentence in the cell.

But that might not be the end of their woes... After their sentence has been completed, the winner gets to play an Extra Time challenge in the cell.

If they can escape in time, the loser is thrown straight back behind bars for another hour!

But if the challenge is failed, our winner finds out what it's like to be imprisoned - they are arrested and begin an immediate Solitary Sixty sentence themselves instead.
